Class Details
This course is designed for pro-active law enforcement officers and for the supervisors who oversee and review their reports. Officers will learn multiple techniques to make lawful encounters and arrests with pedestrians and motor vehicle occupants. These techniques will be rooted in case law, with a heavy emphasis on officer safety. Students will learn how to properly articulate their actions into their reports and how to better present this material in court. Students will also learn defense attorney strategies used to trick and defeat police officers and techniques that can be used to counter these strategies.
