Class Details
This 48-hour entry-level course is designed to introduce new firefighters to an overview of the fire service, fire service organization, firefighter safety, personal protective equipment, tools, emergency lighting, backing apparatus, fire ground operations including fire behavior, basic building construction, structural collapse, fire hose, water supply, communications, ropes and knots, and inspection/refill of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). *NOTE* Some class dates are subject to change with notice.

Prerequisites
14+ years old, Hazmat Awareness, CPR, NIMS 100 &700, Traffic Incident Management: TIMS (all programs are available in on-line formats, providing flexibility for candidates to meet the necessary prerequisites.)
