We will be offering 3 EMS Vehicle Operator continuing education classes on June 29th, 2021 from 1800-2100 hours. There is no fee for any of the courses and you may attend 1, 2, or all 3 classes. As of July 9, 2014, anyone who wishes to drive a “ground ambulance” in Pennsylvania must obtain the Emergency Medical Services Vehicle Operator (EMSVO) credential. The EMSVO credential is a credential granted to providers who successfully complete an Emergency Vehicle Operating Course and complete the application to be submitted to their Regional EMS Council. The required continuing education requirement for EMSVO’s is 3 credits per certification cycle. These credits are in addition to your provider con-ed credits (Example: 24 credits for EMT’s + 3 EMVSO credits = 27 credits total). EMT’s who are not EMS Vehicle Operators may also attend these courses. The individual courses and start times are listed below.
1. EZ EVOC Refresher For Fire 1800-1900 Hours
2. Intersections – Operation Safe Arrival 1900-2000 Hours
3. Rollover Prevention for Emergency Vehicles 2000-2100 Hours
