Designed to take the complex topic of a radiological accident response and break it down into easily understood modules and hands-on practical exercises. Students will receive a comprehensive review ensuring their understanding of radioactive material, radiological survey instruments, and decontamination techniques for handling radiologically contaminated victims. Hands-on practical exercises verify the student’s understanding and knowledge. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate from the DOE’s Transportation Emergency Preparedness Program, including up to 9.0 continuing education hours (CEH) for EMS personnel through the Commission on Accreditation for Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE).
